ἐπιστρέφω — Epistrepho
The New Testament Greek verb epistrephō means to turn, return, turn back, or turn toward. That movement is at the heart of Epistrepho: not merely returning to something familiar, but turning again toward Christ.

Turn
Recognize the desire to turn again toward God. Sometimes the journey begins with nothing more than that recognition.

Rediscover prayer, Scripture, worship, Orthodox teaching, sacramental life, and participation in the Church.

Strengthen
Return is not only personal. Christ tells Peter, after he has turned back, to strengthen his brethren. A renewed faith can eventually become a source of encouragement and service to others.
